Mr. Gould has a combination of over 23 years of corporate program management, supply chain management, international operations, logistics, transportation and purchasing / supplier management experience and 28 years of combined active and reserve military experience.
Prior to founding Gould & Associates Global Services, Inc., Mr. Gould spent time at A.T. Kearney as a Senior Manager in their Supply Chain / Operations Practice. His formative years were spent working for Ford Motor Company and Visteon Automotive Systems, including assignments as Visteon’s Director of Asia Pacific Supply and Materials and Global Aftermarket Distribution Operations manager. He has worked in or with more than 28 countries in Asia, North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Europe and has negotiated with the governments of 13 countries. He spent several years as adjunct faculty at Case Western Reserve University, where he taught Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing Management and International Operations courses in the Weatherhead School of Management’s MBA and Masters of Operations Management programs. He has also taught at and served as a member of the National Advisory Board to the Center for Logistics Management at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Mr. Gould’s military experience includes over 16 years of intelligence experience, including assignments with the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Joint Staff at the Pentagon. He has also held acquisitions assignments at Naval Air Systems Command, where he served as Assistant Project Officer Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (PMA-263), and Marine Corps Systems Command, where he served as Assistant Project Officer, Combat Diving (C2IA). He served in Iraq as a U.S. Marine Intelligence Officer assigned to the Iraq Survey Group. He is currently assigned as a Reservist at the National Defense Intelligence College (NDIC) as a member of the faculty.
Mr. Gould holds a Master’s of Business Administration specialized in Logistics from the University of Nevada, Reno. He is a graduate of the Post Graduate Intelligence Program at the Joint Military Intelligence College (now NDIC). He is also a licensed U.S. Customs Broker.

Mr. Byrd joined Gould Global with over 30 years of leadership and management experience attained in the United States Marine Corps. Serving as both an enlisted Infantryman and Infantry and Force Reconnaissance Officer, he served globally in all three Marine Expeditionary Forces during combat and contingency operations retiring October, 2006 in the rank of Colonel.
Mr. Byrd’s most recent assignments in uniform included Chief, Future Operations, Multi-National Force-Iraq and subsequently Senior Advisor to the Iraq Minister of Interior (MOI) Operations Director General; duty in the Joint Chiefs of Staff J3 Operations Directorate; Visiting Scholar and Military Fellow at the Mershon Center for International Security Studies; Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps Personnel Management Division, and the National Defense University Industrial College of the Armed Forces as a Professor of Military Strategy and Strategic Logistics. ICAF NDU responsibilities included teaching strategic and operational planning involving the application and synchronization of all elements of national power along with strategic logistics and supply chain management to senior members of the military, federal government and corporate fellows. Additionally, he led the Advanced Manufacturing Industry team and both facilitated and participated in USG Strategic-Level War Games and real-world USG international policy interagency working groups.
Mr. Byrd holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Agriculture Economics and International Marketing from the University of Arkansas; a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Management from The Ohio State University; and a Certificate in Supply Chain Management from the Penn State University Center for Supply Chain Research.
